Melo Technology is thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Petapolooza 2026! It’s one of Pickering, Ontario’s most anticipated community events. Taking place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Esplanade Park, this annual celebration brings together pet owners, families and animal lovers for a full day of excitement, education and community spirit.

Petapolooza has become a staple event in Pickering.

Attracting thousands of attendees each year, Petapolooza offers a unique opportunity for the public to connect with pet industry professionals, discover local vendors and engage with rescue organizations that are making real impacts in animal welfare. The 2025 event was a standout success. It welcomed a record-breaking 4,500 attendees and raised over $36,000 in support of local animal services.

Notably, attendees contributed an incredible $11,729.45 in donations during the event itself. This demonstrated just how passionate this community is about supporting animals in need. With that kind of momentum, expectations are high for an even bigger and better event in 2026.

Petapolooza is the largest annual fundraiser for Animal Services in Pickering.

All proceeds go toward building a permanent animal shelter and supporting the day-to-day care of animals currently in need. These funds play a critical role in ensuring animals receive proper shelter, nutrition and medical attention, including unexpected or emergency treatments. Events like Petapolooza help bridge the gap between community support and essential services, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless animals.
