What types of events do you typically photograph?

We specialize in political events, special gatherings, and personal social events. While we generally do not focus on portrait photography, we excel at capturing memorable moments independently and on-demand. We may not serve as the primary photographer at a wedding, but we’re ideal for events where you need someone to snap great photos throughout the occasion.

How long after the event will I receive the photos?

Typically, you’ll receive your photos on the same day as the event. We complete image correction and gallery creation promptly. For events that end late in the evening, we deliver the images the next day.

What is included in your event photography packages?

Our packages include a professional photographer, unlimited high-quality photos, a gallery website for you and your guests, and quick delivery of all images.

How do you handle low-light or challenging lighting conditions?

We are equipped to handle any lighting situation as long as we are informed ahead of time. Using professional equipment and techniques, we ensure excellent photo quality in all conditions.

Do you provide digital and print options for the photos?

Yes, we offer digital options and limited print services. Please contact us for more details on print availability.

Will I own the rights to the photos?

Yes, you will own the rights to the photos for personal, non-commercial use. This means you can freely use and share the images as you like, but they cannot be used for commercial purposes without permission.

Do you edit or retouch all the photos?

We carefully select the best images, removing duplicates and any unsuitable shots. All photos undergo color correction to enhance their quality. While we generally do not perform extensive retouching, we’re happy to accommodate specific requests as a courtesy to our clients.

How many photos can I expect to receive from an event?

On average, you can expect between 150 to 200 photos per hour. The actual number may vary depending on the pace of your event and how proactive you’d like us to be. Our clients often receive more photos than they anticipated.

What is your approach to capturing candid vs. posed shots?

We enjoy interacting with your guests to capture both candid and posed moments. We inconspicuously take candid photos and also approach individuals or groups to request posed shots, always seeking permission first. We tailor our approach based on your preferences, whether you prefer us to be more assertive or more discreet.

Can I see examples of your past event photography work?

Certainly! Please visit our portfolio at https://events.melo.ca. We’ve photographed hundreds of events over the years, and this showcase features galleries that clients have allowed us to share publicly.

Do you offer a second photographer option for larger events?

While we don’t generally provide a second photographer, we can accommodate this upon request.

How do you handle cancellations or rescheduling?

We understand that plans can change. Unless your event agreement specifies a different cancellation policy, there are no penalties for canceling. We appreciate as much notice as possible to adjust our schedules accordingly.

What happens if you're unable to attend due to an emergency?

In the unlikely event that we are unable to attend due to an emergency, we will make every effort to inform you immediately and help find a suitable replacement. While we cannot assume liability for unforeseen circumstances, your satisfaction remains our priority.

What's your pricing structure and payment process?

Our pricing is simple and transparent: – $300 for the first 2 hours – $125 for each additional hour There are no extra fees for website hosting, processing, travel, or other hidden costs. A $200 deposit is required to book your event (per day for multi-day events). After the event, once your image gallery is ready, we’ll send you a link along with an invoice for the remaining balance. Payment is due upon receipt, and we accept credit cards, checks, and email transfers. While we do not accept cash on site, our photographers appreciate tips (though they are not required).

How far in advance should I book your services?

Booking is subject to availability. For weekend events, we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance. For weekday events, two weeks’ notice is ideal. For weekday evening events, seven days’ notice is usually sufficient. However, if you have a last-minute event, feel free to contact us—we may still be able to accommodate you.

What is your coverage area and where will you travel?

Our primary service areas are North Toronto, East Toronto, and the Durham Region. We are willing to travel to other locations for your event if required. Any adjustments to our pricing due to travel will be discussed and approved by you ahead of time, ensuring transparency and no surprises.

Do you do destination weddings or travel out of the country to photograph our event?

Absolutely! If your event is in a far-off land (especially a tropical paradise), consider our bags already packed. We’re more than willing to strike a “really fair deal” where we get to travel, enjoy some delicious food, and snap amazing photos along the way. The sunnier the destination, the bigger the discount! So yes, please hire us—we’re ready for an adventure.

Can you provide free photography for my event?

While our prices are already highly competitive for professional photography—especially with our AI-enhanced photo gallery—we recognize that some organizations and associations operate with limited budgets. In certain cases, we are able to provide our photography services at no cost or at a substantially discounted rate. In exchange, Melo Technology may impose a small download charge, for your event guests to buy their pictures directly form Melo through the gallery we provide. would brand the images with a watermark and offer visitors the opportunity to purchase high-resolution digital downloads for a small fee. Please reach out to us to discuss your event, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
